1. Are your hair extensions made of 100% human hair?

Curls and tresses is a manufacturer and exporter of human hair extensions only. So, yes, every hair that we sell are 100% human hair extensions. We have no business with synthetic or fibres.

2. What is Remy hair and do you provide it?

Remy hair means the cuticles are intact and aligned in one direction, which prevents tangling and makes the hair smooth. Yes, all our extensions are made of premium Remy human hair.

3. How do I know the hair quality is authentic?

Since we are direct manufacturers, we source, process, and test every strand. Our extensions undergo strict quality checks to ensure they are tangle-free, long-lasting, and 100% natural. You can do a burn test or a lab test to find out the genuineness.

4. Do your extensions tangle or shed?

No our hair extensions do not tangle or shed. They go through several tests before packaging is done. You may experience normal shedding like one or two hair coming out sometimes while combing. This is normal with all extensions and you do not need to panic.

5. What textures and colours are available?

We offer natural straight, natural wavy, and natural curly in textures. You can always use a straight iron to style them anytime. In natural colour you will get natural black and natural brown shades. The light brown and blonde shades are coloured on natural hair. Our light brown and blonde colours will last forever. Customized colouring is also available upon request.

6. Will hair extensions damage my hair?

Hair extensions don’t damage your natural hair. When applied and maintained correctly, our extensions are completely safe and do not damage your natural hair. If you are having scanty hair or hair fall problem, then you should go for light weight and short length extensions. In case of permanent hair extensions, it is must to visit a professional place or an expert who is knowledgeable about hair extension installation. Hair extensions originally don’t damage your hair, but a wrong work done can damage them. 7. Are hair extensions safe for sensitive scalps?

Yes, our extensions are made from 100% natural human hair and are lightweight, making them safe for sensitive scalps when installed professionally.

8. Can I sleep or swim with clip-in extensions?

Clip-in extensions are not meant for wearing at the time of sleeping. To increase its life, you should avoid wearing them inside swimming pool. Permanent hair extensions are absolutely fine while sleeping. In fact, they are meant for all time use. To wear them inside a pool you need to be very careful. Swimming pool water contains high amount of chlorine which is extremely bad for not only extensions but your own hair too. Your hair and the extensions both may become very rough and tangle, specially if you are using very long hair extensions. In case of emergency, it is suggested to wear a shower cap, tie your own hair and extensions nicely inside the shower cap, and prevent contact of swimming pool water with your hair as much as possible.
CHOOSING THE RIGHT PRODUCT

1. Which type of extension is best for me?

It depends on your usage type. Clip on extensions are removable type of extensions and not meant for all time wearing. Permanent hair extension are meant for all time wearing. Hence, if you wish to wear extensions regularly, but only at office / college etc or some functions, get togethers, then clip on extensions should be your choice. If you wish to wear them every time at home and outside, then you need to go for permanent hair extensions.

2. Will extensions look natural on my hair?

Yes, our 100% human hair extensions blend seamlessly with your natural hair when matched correctly in color, length, and texture.

3. How do I choose the right length for my extensions?

Length- If you wish to increase only volume of your own hair (not length), then go for the same length hair extensions. Take help from the length chart provided in the product page to know your own hair length. If you wish to increase a bit of length too along with volume, then you can choose a longer length. Take help from the length chart to choose your desired length.

4. How do I know if I need a topper or extensions?

If you have thinning or bald patches or visible scalp on the crown area, a topper is ideal. If you want to add length or volume at the sides and back, extensions are the better choice.

5. Will extensions feel heavy or uncomfortable?

No, our extensions are lightweight and designed for comfort. Once installed, they feel just like your natural hair.

6. How to choose the right colour of my hair extensions?

We recommend choosing the shade closest to your mid-to-end hair colour for a seamless blend. Also, it is not always necessary to match the hair colour accurately, because after wearing the extensions they will blend with your natural hair and give a perfect blend of dual colour.

7. Are extensions suitable for very short hair?

Yes, even short hair can be extended. In fact extensions are used to increase length and volume.

1. What is the cost of permanent hair extensions?

The cost depends on the length, volume. As every hair is different, all works are also different. Permanent hair extension is mostly a custom work. We provide an exact quote once we assess your hair and requirements. There is no starting price for permanent hair extensions. It is totally a custom work and the price depends on your own hair type, volume, colour and your requirements and expectations. We do a professional work and we can asses a price only after seeing your hair and knowing your requirements. 3. How long do the permanent hair extensions last?

The hair that you are purchasing from Curls and tresses are 100% human hair and they last for a life if maintained rightly. Permanent hair extensions need reinstallation every 4 to 5 months. Reinstallation gap may vary from types of permanent hair extensions.

5. What types of permanent hair extensions do you offer?

6. Which permanent hair extension type is best for me?

Few points that you need to keep in mind before choosing your permanent extension type are - zero damage, comfortability in daily use, longevity or reinstallation frequency, security, ongoing severe hair fall issue, hair type etc etc. Curls and Tresses have all types of hair extensions and the experts will guide you accordingly.

7. How long does installation take at your salon?

Installation usually takes 1.5–3 hours, depending on the method and desired volume. Extra time needs to be considered for hair treatments, hair colouring and other related works if any.

8. Will permanent extensions damage my natural hair?

Hair extensions are professional works. When installed professionally and maintained correctly, extensions do not damage your natural hair. We have years of experience and follow safe application / removal techniques to protect your hair health.

9. How often do I need maintenance/refills/ reinstallation?

Maintenance/reinstallation is generally required every 4-5 months, depending on hair growth. Few methods may need reinstallation every 1.5 to 2 months.

10. Can permanent extensions be reused?

Yes, all permanent hair extensions can be reused.

11. Do you provide a guarantee for salon installations?

Yes, we provide a service guarantee for all professional installations. Any concerns within the guarantee period are serviced in free of cost
APPOINTMENT AND STORE VISIT

1. Do I need to book an appointment for visiting your salon?

For permanent hair extensions, whether a fresh installation or a reinstallation a prior appointment is mandatory. Appointment is not mandatory for clip on extensions, hair toppers, other wearable items or a free consultation or any reason for which you want to visit the store. You just need to walk in between 1 pm to 5 pm, Sundays are closed. In case you cannot visit between 1 pm to 5 pm, you can call us and discuss a preferred timing.

2. Do you accept walk-ins or only prior bookings?

Of course we do. But if you are walking in for permanent hair extensions, you have to understand that permanent hair extension takes lots of time. And if we have slots already filled, you might have to come another day. It depends on the time you are walking in and availability of the slots. For wearable products like hair toppers and clip on extensions walk in works best.

3. How do I book an appointment at your salon?

Prior appointment is required only for the works of permanent hair extensions. For fresh permanent hair extensions, it is important you do a basic consultation about the cost and time required before booking an appointment. For what’s app consultation, send us your hair picture from back side and crown area if required. For consultation at store, please visit between 1 pm to 5 pm, Sundays are closed.

5. How far in advance should I book during festive seasons?

Normally 2 to 3 days are fine. We can accommodate the same day only if slots are empty. During festivals it is important to book an appointment at least before 7 to 10 days.

6. Can I reschedule or cancel my appointment?

Yes, you can. Please call us at least 24 hours before to do so.

CLIP ON HAIR EXTENSIONS

1. How do clip-in extensions work?

Clip-in extensions come in ready-made wefts with small, secure clips attached. You simply section your hair, snap the clips close to the roots, and blend them with your natural hair for instant length and volume.

2. Are clip-in extensions safe for my natural hair?

Yes, clip-ins are one of the safest, non-permanent extension methods. They sit on your hair with gentle pressure clips and do not cause stress when applied and removed correctly.

Applying clip-ins is quick and easy. It typically takes 5–10 minutes to clip them in and blend them with your own hair.

4. Can I wear clip-ins every day?

Yes, you can wear clip-ins daily as long as you remove them before sleeping. Many clients use them regularly for work, events, or whenever they want added volume. It is suggested to keep them open at home or during sleep.

No. Clip-ins do not damage the hair or scalp when used properly. Just avoid placing clips on the same spot every day and be gentle while removing them.

6. What are the types of clip-on extensions?

There are several types or sets of clips in extensions. They are available in one piece set. 3 pieces set and seven pieces set mostly or it can be custom. The one-piece clip-on extensions are most easy to maintain. It covers your back completely and most portion of the sides as well. This is most easy to wear and maintain. Hence it sells more than any other types. If you want more natural look and an accurate distribution of hair in the sides and back as well, you should go for a 3 piece clip on extensions. It comes of 3 pieces in a set. 2 for the sides and 1 for the back. If you want a custom distribution of hair volume and you want to do it yourself you can also go for a 7-piece set. It comes of 7 pieces of different sizes. 4 pieces for the sides and 3 larger pieces for the back. This takes longer to wear and because of 7 pieces, it is difficult to maintain.

7. How do I care for and store clip-in extensions?

• Brush them gently before and after use
• Wash only when needed with sulphate-free products
• Let them air-dry
• Store them in their original box or a hanger to keep them tangle-free and protected

TOPPERS AND RECEDING HAIRLINE

1. What are hair toppers?

A hair topper is a lightweight hairpiece designed to add coverage and volume to thinning, especially around the front and crown. A hair topper is meant for covering the crown area not for adding volume or length at the back side. If you want to add volume or length at the backside of your hair, it suggested to go for light weight hair extensions along with the topper.

2. Can I use a large size and long length topper to cover my crown area and add length and volume at the back side?

Well, you can but it is not always recommended for daily usage. A large size hair topper with long hair to add length and volume at the back will be usually heavy and not recommended for daily wear. Instead, it is wise to use a light weight topper for the crown and separately use extensions for the back side to distribute the weight across your scalp area which gives better comfort for regular use. A permanent hair extension works best in this case, if not, you can also try with light weight clip on extensions.

For a longer life of the topper, prevent dipping the base of the topper inside water while washing. You can wash the length of the hair with shampoo and conditioner as usual. When coming to the base, be gentler and wash carefully. Try not using water in the skin or the base area. Few droplets of water falling on the base area while washing is not a concern.

Yes, you can wash and oil gently, but avoid heavy application on bonds or clips. Use sulphate-free shampoos for best results.

6. How do I wash my hair extensions?

Use normal water shampoo, conditioner and spa at home for washing them. Use sulphate and paraben free shampoo and conditioner. After conditioning use a spa cream and leave it for 20 mins before washing. Always use downward strokes while washing.

7. How often should I wash my hair extensions?

Wash only when needed—generally every 10–15 wears for clip-ins and 1–2 times a week for permanent extensions.

8. Do I need special shampoos or conditioners for extensions?

Yes, sulfate-free and paraben-free products are recommended to keep the hair soft and long-lasting.

9. Do I need any special comb for combing?

Nothing as such. You can use any comb for combing.

10. How do I store my extensions when not in use?

Store them in a clean, dry place, inside the packet or the box received at the time of delivery to avoid tangling. Comb them nicely before inserting in the packet.
